Score Tracker for Flip 7 v1.3: keeping score from my Apple Watch
My Flip 7 scorekeeper now has an Apple Watch app. I tap the cards on my wrist, the phone (or the TV) shows the race to 200, and every finished game is saved round by round.
Get it on the App Store, or use it in any browser at flip7.ramkprasanna.com, no iPhone needed. Version 1.4 is out now (see the update at the end). Still free, no ads, works offline. The how-to and FAQ are on the app page.
Why a watch app
When we play Flip 7, I keep score. That meant picking up my phone after every round, tapping in everyone's cards, and putting it back down. The graph is the fun part, though, and it kept disappearing while I typed. So now the phone stays on the table (or mirrored to the TV) showing the race, and I enter the round on my watch.
It covers both versions we play: classic Flip 7 and Flip 7: With a Vengeance. Each has its own cards and scoring rules, and the app (phone and watch) switches between them when you start a game.

What's new
- Scoring on the watch. Pick a player and tap the cards they kept: numbers, modifiers, Bust, Flip 7. The watch adds it up with the rules for Flip 7 or With a Vengeance. If someone already did the math, type the number on the keypad or spin the Digital Crown. When everyone's in, submit the round from the watch.
- Dotted lines for the round in play. As scores come in, the graph shows where each player will land before the round is submitted. It's the part people at the table actually watch.
- A graph for the TV. Fullscreen works in portrait and landscape, you can drag past the edges, and when someone crosses 200 the win gets its own moment on the big screen.
- Past games. Every finished game opens to its full race, the final standings, and each player's average, best, and worst round.
- Smaller things. The tab bar picks up the new iOS design, the score sheet works in landscape, there are colors for up to eight players, and there's a new icon.

Update: version 1.4
Version 1.4 is out. The app has a new name, Score Tracker for Flip 7 (it used to be CG Score Tracker). It's the same app, and your games carry over.
- iPad. Players and the live graph sit side by side, and past games open next to the list.
- Foldable iPhones. The layouts work on both screens, upright or sideways, and keep clear of the fold.
- Watch. The score pad stays up longer during a game, so raising your wrist takes you straight back to it.
- Fixes. The winner celebration now shows up on any tab when the winning round is submitted from the watch.
